Eurorepar offers several types of diesel filter:

• The spin-on filter
• The immersed filter, or cartridge
• The filter module or crimped filter

The filters are fitted with two different types of medium:

• mixed media
• synthetic media

In addition to standard replacement filters, there are models with a priming system, a water drain screw and an integrated pressure regulating valve and/or electric heating

Changing the diesel filter at the intervals recommended by the manufacturer helps ensure that the engine continues to function correctly by
guaranteeing:

• filtration of the impurities present in the fuel which could cause the injectors to seize up or the injection pump to break
• the settling of the water present in the diesel (due to the condensation of the air generated by temperature differences, in particular in relatively empty tanks)

Backfiring when accelerating, black smoke when accelerating at low engine speeds and increased consumption are often signs of a clogged diesel filter, even before the recommended deadline.
